The “Christmas Vacation” Tree: Because Nothing Says Class Like Cousin Eddie in a Robe

Let’s be honest—Christmas decorating can get a little too precious sometimes. So this tree? Total curveball. Inspired by the greatest holiday movie of all time (don’t argue with me), “Christmas Vacation,” this beauty was wrapped in bold red ribbons, gleaming baubles, and packed with hand-painted wooden signs quoting the most iconic lines from the film. “That there’s an RV,” “You serious, Clark?”—if you know, you know. If you don’t… we probably can't be friends until you watch it.

This over-the-top tribute was designed for a holiday gala benefiting the Boys & Girls Club, and not only did it look incredible—it came with a themed bundle of gifts straight out of Griswold lore. Yes, someone won this tree. Yes, they also got the gifts. No, sadly, Cousin Eddie did not come included (there are zoning laws). It was chaotic, nostalgic, and gloriously tacky—in the classiest way possible. And it was all for a good cause, which makes even a moose mug feel like a luxury item.
